The Masterverse Chronicles

He woke surrounded by an organisation of rescuers who had found him unconscious in the wilderness. He was found armed for battle, combat suited with a helmet that made his whole appearance a mystery. He refused to remove any of his armour but had no idea why.
He had no memory of who he was, where he was, where he'd come from or why he hid himself, yet no-one questionned him.

His rescuers named him 'the Masked Warrior' based on his armour and took him to what they called a 'Reality Gate' in order to register him as a new entity, assess his strengths and his habitation requirements before going through the induction procedure with one of the gate's Senior Magisters. The Magister not of the same species as the Masked Warrior, he was led down a corridor of light that looked over all of reality. The universe of lights shining in the darkness below was held safely in an enormous bubble of void matter, an impassable energy force. More universes and realities specked the darkness beyond the bubble. Together they stood and watched the universe gently turn within the bubble, the Magister spoke to him whilst small mechanical instruments scanned the Masked Warrior:

"This is the Masterverse, or the Void-Reality. This will be your home, but before today your home was somewhere outside the bubble of void matter, another universe hidden within the unending darkness of reality."

"Many people have appeared here, within the Reality Gate, just as you have today and all belong outside the bubble. We cannot tell if you have fallen, drifted or jumped through the void of your own reality or even if you are the original from your world or if you are merely a copy but in truth it matters not. You are part of the Masterverse now because it has decided that you, like all who have appeared before and are ever to appear in the future, have an important purpose within this reality."

"Every world within the Masterverse is inhabitted by the individuals of varying species, races and people of the outer realities that have also been chosen along with the families they have come to form amongst the stars."

"Like you, the chosen all have little or no memory of their homes, but that may return in time because, you see, the laws governing each universe are different and  all who come here carry with them the potentials of their own homeworlds. This means that the stronger races, the races that can fly, or that have advanced intelligence, magic, mind-power or any of the other infinite traits bring with them these abilities. These traits can be transferred and learnt by all in the Masterverse, including you. Some of those chosen to enter this realm have a stronger influence on the Masterverse, resulting in more of their universe, or copies of it, being pulled here also so in turn parts of their past become clearer."

"But know this, regardless of your past, everything you do here is part of your very purpose for being pulled into the Masterverse and so is the same for all the others, though some are here for selfish or destructive purposes but nonetheless these acts still hold purpose. In order to serve your purposes, each chosen has had their lifespans frozen and have also been granted immunity from natural death, but war is often led by the chosen when they wish to assert dominance over the others. Though, of course, the rules governing life and death have been severely altered by the pieces of other universes that are slowly piecing together this place."

"Now, fear not Masked Warrior, you are free to live and make your own choices in this bubble-reality and you will shape your own history for as long as you exist within this realm. The Reality Gate is merely the one-way system for transport into the Masterverse, one you leave we will likely never meet again but we will still be watching and guiding the new chosen safely through the threshold just as we are with you. Goodbye, and good luck."

The Magister slowly disappeared and left the Masked Warrior alone on the end of the Reality Gate. Small orbs of light appeared and floated towards him, attaching to his suit and building into a strong white light. More and more came and coated him until he was fully enveloped in the light and then he was transported to his new home without any further explanation.
